Yeovil Town Band is the only Championship Section Brass Band in Somerset; it is also one of the only Brass Bands in the Championship Section Nationally that competes WITHOUT the aid of major sponsorship.
All our players are amateur musicians and whilst receiving no remuneration meet for rehearsals at least twice a week, however with the run up to a major Competition we find ourselves rehearsing most evenings in the weeks prior to this.
We are lucky and privileged to have the support of our own town council, and are one of the few Championship Section Bands allowed to carry its town Crest on both our uniforms and banners; however this goes just a short way in covering the running of such a successful Brass Band.
We need your support, either by way of donations (absolutely any amount would be appreciated) or by attending one of our events that we put on, in and around the Town.
